Well, at the last minute I was persuaded by family to race this weekend even after the crappy and exhausting week I was having not to mention the insane workout I did on Tuesday. I know better than to that on a race week.  What the heck, I could use the break from every day monotony.  So I hopped in the truck after work and went up to Eden to run in the snow, wind and muck.  No muck thankfully, just lots of cold, blustery wind!  Might be a nice place for a wind farm I was thinking..  This was the kind of race that will either break you or make you more fiercely determined than ever to come back stronger next time.  I choose not to break.  It's only one race..  My MVP award today goes not to Alexander Tomas today, although he did run incredibly well but instead  goes to Albert Wint.  Albert ran incredibly tough today and no matter what I did I just could not shake him and at the end it was like he shifted into a whole new gear.  Passed me like a Ferrari on the interstate going all out.  He has moved up to a new level now I believe.   Good job Albert.

Wow, great job. I cold tell that the race did not break you. You never stop amazing me with your running. What kind of head wind do you think you were running against. Kory and i ran Friday against a 15-20 MPH wind and i hated it. Anyway, good job. Are you ready for Salt Lake? I am still wanting to have a post race dinner with you after the race, if that is still ok with you? If it will help you out i will buy dinner. Also, i would like to ask you what kind or running schedule to should have leading up to Ogden race.

Nice to see you again Steve, even if it was from behind the whole time. It was fun watching you two fight it out (from a distance as it got later on in the race). Keep up the crazy workouts and you can kick some butt again.

Thanks gentlemen, I wish I could have stuck around for a while but duty called at work. Yes, I have done some crazy workouts in order to make up for the quantity I have not been able to put in this year.

Sometimes you just get beat by someone who was better that day. And there are a lot of guys who can, some just don't know it yet.

Nice to meet you today, Steve. You are definitely in a faster category than I am. Good luck recovering from the race.

Isn't it great though to have something you love that is also good for you to do?!

Good run man. Keep it up. Which marathons are you going to do next?

I am doing the SLC.

Mike, Thanks.. What would you like to know. Also have not read many blogs. Just dont have the time unfortunately.

Seth- I am uncertain about running the full marathon. Right now I'm in Moab for the Jeep rally and to do some zen running for a couple of days to figure out where I want to go. I will be in one of the races for sure. By the way, You look strong as ever. I would like to see both you and Jeff eat some Kenyans for breakfast if they show up.

One of these days I am going to get brave and take my jeep down to Moab. How is the weather down there?

From air darkhorse on Fri, Apr 10, 2009 at 23:27:40 from 76.27.0.45

Maurine- Awesome weather. Sunny and just plain mild. You are missing out.
